Tokyo family days out: frequently asked questions

Does free admission mean the whole family pays nothing?

The free filter follows the admission category in our directory. Some venues waive admission only for children; special exhibitions, activities and parking may cost extra. Compare the detail page with official ticket information to budget for everyone.

Do half-day and full-day filters include travel time?

These filters use the visit duration in our directory, excluding your journey from home. Allow extra time for meals, naps, queues and station transfers, and plan a distant outing around one main destination.

How should I compare official tickets and Klook offers?

Compare the total for the same date, age bands and entry time, along with included exhibitions or rides, cancellation rules and redemption steps. Availability is shown by the seller. We may earn a commission through affiliate links.

Are child tickets based on age or school grade?

Venues use different age or school-grade bands, which may not match overseas school systems. Read the package eligibility and carry age identification when your child is near a boundary.

Can I enter with a screenshot of my e-ticket?

Some tickets require a live voucher opened online and validation by venue staff. Log in before arrival, check the number of tickets and keep your phone charged. Do not activate a staff-validated ticket yourself.

Does admission include every activity inside?

Special exhibitions, reserved seats, job slots and seasonal activities can have separate rules or fees. Fast entry does not remove queues inside. Check whether your must-do experience is included.
