Grace International School (GIS) — Seta Campus
Grace in Seta offers independent, all-English Montessori childcare from 3 months to 6 years.
Admissions & ages
Contact the school for admissions. Birthday cutoffs, child/parent English requirements, application steps and vacancies are unconfirmed. Infant half-day eligibility and minimum attendance also need checking; the published options do not establish that every age can use every schedule.
Curriculum & language
Children explore practical life, language, sensory work, mathematics and culture. This evangelical Protestant school includes morning, mealtime and home-time prayers and biblical Christmas/Easter celebrations. Non-Christian families are welcome; faith is not compulsory. The principal’s AMI qualifications are personal, not whole-school accreditation.
Schedule & care
Weekdays offer 09:00–14:30 or 09:00–11:30, 1–5 days/week. School information lists early care 08:00–09:00 and extended care 14:30–18:30; the 2026-10-01 municipal record ends at 18:00. The relationship remains unresolved. Weekends/public holidays are closed; holiday programmes are separate.

Fees & extras
The published fee table has no year and says tax-inclusive. Five-day tuition for September–December is JPY 540,000 full-day/372,600 half-day; January–March and April–June each cost 410,400/297,000. Admission is 110,000 once; extension costs 1,700/hour or 33,000/month only until 16:30. Certified childcare’s tax-exempt scope versus the table’s label remains unresolved.
Support & eligibility
Grace is a registered unlicensed childcare facility operated by KC International, not a Japanese licensed kindergarten. Ordinary childcare-support facility confirmation dates to 2020-02-01, with a standards certificate dated 2021-12-01; only eligible childcare charges qualify. For April 2026–March 2027, Setagaya’s monthly caps are JPY 80,000 for age-0–2 households liable for Japanese resident tax under ward relief, 80,000 combined national/ward support for age-0–2 households exempt from Japanese resident tax, and 77,000 combined for age 3–5. These caps are published on the 2026-06-02 page; the national/ward breakdown from 2026-10-01 remains unconfirmed. Do not add national benefits or increases. The age-0–2 cohort covers births from 2023-04-02; age 3–5 covers births from 2020-04-02 through 2023-04-01. Residence, valid childcare-need certification, actual fees and non-duplication apply; midmonth proration can reduce payment. Taxable age-0–2 relief requires month-start residence and excludes simultaneous licensed nursery/kindergarten attendance or specified overlapping relief. Certification cannot predate application. Final ward claims are due 2027-04-12; late ward support may be lost. Other residents follow their municipality. The potential 3,000 meal addition requires a qualifying meal provider; Grace’s meal provision is unconfirmed.
