Tokyo International School Kindergarten (TIS Group) — Kachidoki Kindergarten

TIS Group Kachidoki offers English-immersion kindergarten through theme-based inquiry. It belongs to a kindergarten network affiliated with Tokyo International School; that relationship does not establish the same school entity or transfer the main school’s IB accreditation.

Admissions & ages

Confirmed regular provision is KG1–KG3, approximately ages 3–6. April 2027 KG1 entrants were born 2023-04-02–2024-04-01. Kachidoki’s verified Toddler offer is a parent-accompanied trial, insufficient evidence of regular independent care from age 2. Applications are year-round, subject to vacancies, documents, a parent interview and child observation or trial. English checks begin in KG2’s third term; younger applicants and parents need no prior English. Start toilet training before entry; nappies are not an automatic bar.

Curriculum & language

Lessons and daily communication are in English, spanning mathematics, science, social learning, arts and physical activities. Neither regular lessons nor extended care schedules Japanese study. Reading, speaking and independent activities develop within the programme; no individual language outcome is guaranteed.

Schedule & care

The 2026 programme runs 5 days weekly, 9:00–14:00, with paid care 8:00–9:00 and 14:00–18:00. Holiday care and seasonal programmes are separate; current closure dates and holiday charges remain unconfirmed.

Campus & daily life

The campus is at Forefront Tower 1F, 3-12-1 Kachidoki, Chuo-ku, a school-quoted 5-minute walk from Kachidoki Station. There is no parking. Paid school lunch or a packed lunch is possible. Allergies must be declared; severe cases may exceed the school’s provision. Paid buses serve several nearby districts; exact stops and eligibility need checking.

Fees & extras

The 2026 fee sheets list non-refundable entry of JPY 200,000 and annual tuition of JPY 1,201,890 when paid at once. Facilities/materials charges conflict: the Japanese annual figure is JPY 120,000, the English JPY 100,000. Do not infer an all-inclusive total. Extended care costs JPY 600 per 30 minutes. Lunch, bus and specified supplies are extra; taxes, tuition refunds and 2027 fees are unconfirmed.

Support & eligibility

The address matches Chuo’s ordinary childcare-fee support list and Tokyo’s standards-compliance certificate list for unlicensed childcare facilities. Household residence, childcare need, age and tax conditions still apply. A separate Chuo programme is school-reported only; its municipal approval and stacking are unverified. TIS primary applications may receive priority opportunities, but selection and eligibility remain.

TBD

Confirm the facilities/materials conflict, tax, refund and withdrawal rules. · Ask about independent Toddler provision, passport requirements and vacancies. · Check meals, supplies, bus details and holiday care. · Confirm household subsidy eligibility; priority application does not guarantee primary admission.
