Zoo-phonics Academy International Preschool — Kichijoji School
Kichijoji’s regular daytime preschool combines English-immersion learning and everyday activities in a detached building with a garden.
Admissions & ages
Missy Mouse serves ages 2–3, Robby Rabbit 3–4 and Deedee Deer 4–6; the age-1 class requires a parent. Visits/trials require booking; trial lessons start at age 2, with optional 1–3-week trial enrolment. Entry depends on assessment and vacancies. Parents need not speak English. Advanced is continuing English study, not guaranteed primary admission.
Curriculum & language
Zoo-phonics links animal characters, sounds and movement with literacy. Age-grouped themes include sensory work, number concepts, science, music, art and STEAM. Japanese literacy and manners are also mentioned, but their timetable is unclear; English immersion is not verified for extended care. The method is not an accreditation. E-CAMP is a separate school-age programme.
Schedule & care
Monday–Friday: Missy offers 3–5 days/week, 09:15–12:15 or 09:15–14:15; Robby/Deedee usually attend 5 days. Deedee 2 lists 09:00–14:15 yet calls it 5 hours, so confirm the discrepancy. Early care lists 08:00–09:00; extended care 14:30–17:00 or 18:00, 1–5 days/week. These timetables have no stated school year.
Campus & daily life
Address: 4-9-13 Kichijoji Honcho, Musashino. The school gives a 15-minute walk from Kichijoji Station’s north exit or 1 minute from Kitamachi 1-chome bus stop. Lunch delivery can be ordered. Children aged 2–3 may enter before toilet training is complete; older-child requirements are unclear. Bilingual staff support parent communication.
Fees & extras
The undated, tax-inclusive example covers only Missy’s 5-day full-day option: monthly JPY 100,100 basic fee, JPY 5,775 materials and JPY 3,300 insurance/other charges; once-only JPY 88,000 joining and JPY 16,500 home materials. It is not a confirmed 2026 quotation or a price for older classes. Other attendance options, extended care and refunds remain unverified.
Support & eligibility
No same-address match was found in Musashino’s ordinary-benefit or suspension lists. Facility confirmation, registration and standards certification remain unverified; this does not mean all support is unavailable. Benefits require separate facility and household checks, including actual residence, childcare-need certification and eligible charges. No payment is promised.
