What the days look like
Morning course: Monday–Friday 09:00–12:50, twenty 50-minute lessons weekly. Afternoon Club runs to 15:30 and the age-12+ Day School to 17:00. Guided family outings require the parent to accompany the child.
Parents, accommodation and transport
Families book their own stay or separately arranged homestay, studio or apartment. School is opposite Gloucester Road Underground. Tokyo–London is a long-haul trip; leave time to settle before the first school morning. Transfers are optional paid extras.
Why it is in this guide
Includes young primary children in an established family course, with parent and child lessons in the same school area. The 2025 and 2026 brochures plus announced 2027 calendar establish repeat operation.
Who it may suit
Families who want structured morning English, museums and their own London afternoons. Ages 8–11 can add a supervised afternoon club in the verified 2026 summer model.
What to weigh up
Ages 5–6 need a parent taking a course or remaining at school during lessons. The 17:00 Day School is for ages 12–16, so do not treat the youngest course as full-day childcare.
Operating history and evidence
Limited but useful family evidence: a verified-booking family adult review dated 5 August 2025 praised teachers and staff, while a much older parent account from a 2015 stay liked the child’s teaching but criticised adult placement and materials. These commercial booking-platform accounts do not establish current safeguarding quality.

Verified family-adult booking review
A two-week family-adult participant praised knowledgeable teachers, the central location and helpful staff; wanted better concessions for longer stays.

Parent account from a 2015 stay
The parent said her child enjoyed class and liked the teacher, but criticised the adult course’s placement and materials.
Verified booking, but over a decade old and partly about adult teaching. It supports checking both sides of the family package, not a current quality verdict.

Confirm the child’s level, age-5 seasonal rule, exact 2027 afternoon age band and parent’s classroom location. Holiday weeks have fewer lessons without a fee reduction. Budget an accompanying adult’s whole stay, not just the child’s course.
Cancellation and refunds
The linked 2026 family conditions retain £130/family registration and £250/person deposit for ordinary pre-arrival course cancellation; after arrival there is no refund. Distance bookings have a stated 14-day cancellation period, subject to services already requested. Accommodation has separate charges and notice periods; obtain the applicable 2027 terms.
