Visiting childrenConfirmed, conditions apply

The official family course accepts visiting international families; prior enrolment at the host school or local residence is not required.

Ages 6–11 use the family/tuition route with a parent or guardian; confirm whether that adult must also enrol. Day-camp/full-board 12–17 terms do not apply to younger children; 12-year-olds also need a parent or chaperoned group.

What the days look like

20 lessons of 50 minutes weekly, about 16.7 hours. Younger learners have classroom activities; the exact daily times and any afternoon activities need confirmation for the booked week.

Parents, accommodation and transport

Family homestay or apartment help depends on party size and availability. Some homestays are advertised 45–60 minutes from school, so ask for the actual journey before committing. Tokyo families need a trans-Pacific travel and jet-lag buffer; flights are not included.

Why it is in this guide

An explicitly parent-accompanied option from age six, with the crucial tuition-only boundary clearly stated.

Who it may suit

Families comfortable organising their own afternoons, local transport and accommodation around morning English.

What to weigh up

The standard 6–11 price is not an all-day camp. Activity packages for younger children are on request; the 12–17 activity/residential package cannot be assumed available to a six-year-old.

Operating history and evidence

Official junior material from 2024 and the 2026 price list support recurring operation. Language International hosts nine junior-programme reviews, including a parent-style report praising children's practice but noting discomfort in the neighbourhood; LanguageCourse.net has a review noting a wide age/ability spread. Samples are small and commercial-platform hosted, and do not isolate the current 6–11 class.

Family-style account of summer 2024

A July–August 2024 participant said children with different starting levels enjoyed practising English, while reporting discomfort in the streets near the school.

Booking is verified but publication date is not displayed. Stay dates are known; the account does not establish that it concerns the 6–11 course. Neighbourhood comments are personal perceptions.

Before you book

Confirm the 6–11 operating weeks, beginner provision, group ages, parent-enrolment condition, pickup arrangements and route between lodging and school. Weekly seasonal study can be planned for two or more weeks only after confirming the child-course dates and minimum stay; check any US entry requirements against the actual study plan.

Cancellation and refunds

Current California terms: tuition cancelled before or on the start date is refundable less US$250 non-refundable enrolment/service fees. Housing has separate penalties: under 30 days' notice may cost two weeks or greater third-party charges. Confirm the applicable family-course contract.
