ExperienceHighlights
Check experience slots in the Railway Museum Raffle App on arrival, then plan vehicles and the diorama around them.
Real trains, the diorama and children's areas still make a visit worthwhile without a simulator slot.
- Admission does not guarantee driving experiences; some use an app lottery or first-come slots and cost extra.
- Mini-train driving is for elementary pupils and older; the D51 simulator requires junior-high age or above.
- Labels are mainly Japanese. The multilingual guide app and the experience raffle app serve different purposes.
Reviews
Highlights
On our first visit with a four-year-old boy, we enjoyed ourselves from 10 until 4:30.
My son happily boarded every train we were allowed inside.
Drawbacks
I wanted more time with the model railway, but the demonstration ended after about fifteen minutes for the next group.
None of our family of four was particularly interested in trains, so we felt rather underwhelmed.
